Random thoughts post another Oregon apocalypse

Sunday, August 31st, 2008

Oregon will never look this good again this year. By the end of the year we’ll wonder how they looked that good last night. Other teams will actually be able to stop their third and fourth string quarterbacks, one of whom is a true freshman.

But give UO credit, they had that true freshman running the offense better than our red shirt sophomore. Jake Locker will be the single most wasted opportunity in the history of the program. We don’t stop enough here at half brains to praise him for what he brings. You screwed it up big time Emmert. We’re not going to let you off the hook even if you do fire Ty.

Locker was not 100% last night. And the Tybots are peeking out of their bunkers and sending up trial balloons to blame Locker for what we see on the field. Nothing or no one is sacred when it comes to defending the Leader.

Lappanno is an idiot. Brain dead. A moron. A loser. It takes more than screaming at your players on the sidelines Timmy. Get a plan and buy a clue and put in an offense while you’re at it.

All of our great young talent was totally unprepared to play D1 football. And just think, players usually get worse the longer they play for Ty. The scars develop.

The defense was out of position and couldn’t tackle a grandma crossing the street.

All of this explains why Ty closes practice. He doesn’t run a D1 practice. The players play like they practice – letharagic and slow and as if plodding through mud. Add in no emotion and you get another ass kicking on the field. UW players aren’t that much worse than UO, they just look that way because they aren’t developed or coached.

We may be half brains and a couple of goofs, but you can take what we say to the bank. I said after spring ball that our O line was flabby and soft and hadn’t hit the weights because they have pipe cleaner arms. Then all fall I kept hearing about how cut we looked and fell for it again. I knew from the first look on TV that I was right back in spring and we were doomed to defeat.

That’s why practice is closed.

Firing Ty isn’t enough. Emmert has to be kept away from the football program and any further hiring disasters.  The stupid fuck blew it on Mora. Stay on the upper campus sipping wine and banging Mitzi and leave the football program to those that have a clue.

My anger grows with each word I type. We just got worked by UO 44-10. What do we do?

The Bannon Plan

1. Disband the hiring committe for the AD job and fire the head hunter firm that brought us Turner and give the job to iDawg and myself. We’ll scour the country for a football AD that can raise money and hire a championship coach.

2. Force Emmert to sit by Ty for all 12 Monday radio shows. Make him eat it along with Ty as the rabble rips them after each loss after loss after loss.

3. Don’t fire Ty now. Get the AD and give him the time to do a real search.

4. End the search at Renton and hire Jim L. Mora

5. Break ground on the football only weight room, new football center, and the training spa. Triple the recruiting budget. Bring back the Husky Hunters. Revoke Emmert’s season tickets and turn the President’s Box into recruit seating.

6. Tell Bill Gates Sr. that it is grossly inapproriate for donors to interfere in the firing of a failed football coach.

7. Whip the players in to shape and lock them in the weight room and train and teach them how to play winning football.

8. Make the schedule even tougher and like it.

9. Beat the shit out of the Gasbag.

10. Erase all mention of Willingham from all Husky records and literature. He never happened.

Yes, there will be a podcast and no it won’t be about BYwho.

How about those Road Graders?

Sunday, August 31st, 2008

As predicted, the defense was marginally better until the collapse, but the offense was far worse than in 07. The theory that Donatell would make up enough points to allow the Husky offense to out score opponents was blown up at Autzen as the Huskies struggled to move out of their own shadow for all but the 2nd quarter Saturday Night.

A less than 100% Locker was once again all we had to offer. The valiant warrior gave it his all but appears to be doomed to play his career under the woeful current regime.  What a waste.

Thanks, Football President!

A humiliation beyond the worst dreams.

We weep for our nation.

We are led by fools and sold out by traitors. Our honor has been trampled by the unworthy.

We are duty bound to revolt, to call out the powers that be to be accountable for the results that we see.

This was no surprise nor were we shocked as our team was taken apart from seam to seam.

The DeathWatch is here.

It’s looking bad for Corky

Friday, August 29th, 2008

Our beloved dog of 12 and a half years has barked his last bark I am afraid. We’ll be taking him into the Vet on Saturday for his final shot. He started slipping earlier this year and we’ve tried some treaments that would work for a bit but then he would start slipping back again.

He’s lost too much weight, and is now at the point where it is better for him if he is put to final rest. Not so good for Mr. and Mrs. Bannon though. Despite my cold hearted reputation, my best friend wil be sorely missed.

Maybe someday when the fellas are up against it and the ducks are beating them, Ty can tell them to win one for Corky.

RIP Gitana.

Unscarred Youth to open at Autzen Mosh Pit

Saturday, August 23rd, 2008

Ty Willingham and his Unscarred Youth are the opening act at no longer recently remodeled Autzen Arena as the University of Willingham (it’s His program) Tybots open the season and Pac 10 play Saturday night.

Husky fans are not allowed to go on the road and attend the game due to some unflattering remarks on the Dawgman message board and leaked practice reports that were a direct violation of school policy. It was also announced that Husky fans are not allowed to watch the game on TV either, and must go straight to bed after dinner and to wait until their father gets home because they are in big trouble, mister.

Willingham inadvertently revealed the true story of his unchanging yet evolving system when he said he like his true freshmen because they are “unscarred”. This confirms the long held belief that the longer a player is in the Willingham system, the worse he gets. They get scarred by losing and by the experience of playing for a charlatan who really has no idea how to run a D1 championship program.

The good news is that the opener is against another fraudulent coach. Mike “It’s just a small tear in your ACL” Bellotti. Bellotti subscribes to the theory that says it’s a minor injury if it happens to someone else. Iron Mike would only risk the future of Dennis Dixon if it was a big enough game. Is the UW opener big enough to risk the future of Nate “Don’t call me Bob” Costa(s)?  Mr. Roper is standing by to take the call and fix the plumbing in Phil Knight’s private suite.

Bellotti has made a living off of tearing the wings off of the Super Fly Ty for three straight years as the Huskies haven’t come close to figuring out the Quack Attack as they have gone down to blow out defeat after blow out defeat. Our well comported lads have proclaimed that they have had enough of such rough treatment and have vowed revenge upon our former bitches from Oregon. Let’s hope Coach Willingham can tamp out such grossly inappropriate emotion before game time. A couple of flips of the headset microphone and a good glaring should do the trick.

Chipper Kelley, the latest Duck offensive coordinator to save Bellotti’s job, hopes to get to his second play after scoring 55 points running the same play over and over again last year. Long time Willingham assistant Kent Baer is no longer around to be baffled by the duck attack. Ed Donatell, the latest assistant coach brought in to try to save Ty’s job, will be the man on the spot as he tries to stop both the run and the pass in the same game. Fortunately, he has Coach Willingham’s vast reservoir of defensive knowledge to call upon in making the game plan. Willingham is just like Don James, other than overseeing  two of the worst defenses in school history during his outstanding tenure here.

The Huskies will come out on offense and use their multiple Power I Spread West Coast Road Grader attack against the defenseless ducks and long time Bellotti assistant, Nick Alliotti. Better buy some extra bulbs for the scoreboard.

It will be up to the Unscarred Youth to help Jake “Thanks a lot for saving Ty’s job” Locker score enough points to beat the mediocre ducks in August as opposed to November when the ducks fade like Oregon’s chances to ever be anything more than an expensive mid Pac team.

Someday we may see the pictures that Bellotti has of Phil Knight that has allowed him to muddle around there failing to take advantage of a fanatical owner who is committed to winning football games.  Knight is pals with Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods, a couple of guys who will tell you that 2nd place sucks. Bellotti will tell you that 4th place makes him the Dean of Pac 10 coaches.

And that is the worst thing about our recent ass kickings at the hands of these punks. We know how easy it is to beat Oregon. The oft reviled Rick Neuheisel owns Bellotti.  Gilby beat UO 42-10. These are not giants of the coaching game. And yet our little General is helpless in the face of such mediocrity.

But I have faith that our Unscarred Youth will remain free of scar tissue long enough to come out Saturday Night and whip the Mallard mutt food into submission and get a big enough half time lead  that Ty can’t blow it in the second half. Then we can launch the annual 6 game losing streak.

Anything new going on?

Wednesday, August 20th, 2008

I mean, other than Ty cracking up before our eyes. Or is he? Our friend John B. nailed the Captain Queeg comparison from the Caine Mutiny at his blog and in the process nailed the personality of our Leader to the mast. The banning of young JE Cornell from Husky practices was the last straw for John, who has been more than fair and patient with Willingham during Ty’s reign of error at Montlake.

You never really know what small spark will light the brush fire of widespread revolution, but dumping all over one of your most loyal fans is a good way to try. The nephew of Husky Legend Bo Cornell is a sincere advocate for Ty and the University and as has been shown here, and at John’s and at Dawgman, made a very positive vanilla post about a practice he attended. The kind of report that yours truly wouldn’t believe but would appreciate the sincerity of.

Contrary to nega lagend, we do not attack and brutalize anyone that is positive. Burntridge Dawg is another example of a positive guy that is unswerving in his belief in Ty. He has never heard a cross word from me.  It’s the people that attack critics of Ty while claiming they don’t know about him or aren’t defending him, or those who whine that we just need to give it a rest who get the needle in the eye in internets world.

Cornell is one of those guys who just wants Ty to suceed and isn’t afraid to say so. He has a sense of humor about it and has joined the call for an extension for Ty, a position that only Ty’s worst critic dared to take initially.

And for his trouble he got boot slammed by jack boot thugs at the Montlake School for Brownshirt Behavior. Paranoia on this scale is a sign of mental illness as shown by our Captain Queeg and the fact that the Football President enabled this  maniac to remain is a dark stain on Husky Football.

When the cult like poster is torn down, ok, it already came down but that hurts the point I am trying to make here, young JE Cornell will be at the forefront as the Ty supporter who sparked the revolution that finally rid us of Ty. He is the guy in front of the tank.

I spent the day at Dawgman arguing with fellow anti Ty forces who still believe in the Football President. While I just can’t accept that Emmert has had to fight this 4 year guerilla war to get rid of the guy he hired because he had to to prove to the Regents that their way won’t work and now he can get a real coach, I have allowed for that possibility. But have the Regents been crushed or will they simply demand another Ty? Will Emmert be allowed to be Emmert if Emmert is who they say he is? Or will he compromise again?

One thing we do know, Ty is well on his way to firing himself thus, relieving the Football President of that duty and that may indeed been Emmert’s plan all along. Is it worth the cost? No. Is it worth losing Mora? No.

But at UW we are forced to take baby steps it appears. It is what it is and all   we can do is watch Ty implode and hope we don’t end up with Macovic.

Oh yeah, first game is about a week away.
