Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

Of course we don’t spend much time gloating. There is still massive work that needs to be done:

We’ve been working on this for months

Monday, October 27th, 2008

iDawg and I set about to compile a comprehensive list of all the coaches that we would consider for the UW job. We agonized over it for months, adding and subtracting names and researching the numbers and putting thousands of dollars of study into the task.

Now that there is an opening, we thought now would be a fun time to unveil the list for purposes of discussion. It’s a long list and a lot to digest, but let’s see what the readers think:

BERLIN FALLS – Hitler allowed to finish out his term

Monday, October 27th, 2008

Ok, it’s the internets, ok? Hitler comparisons are mandatory. We know that Ty isn’t Hitler. Hell, Hitler beat Poland with a nice passing attack.

This is so typical of the gutless “leadership” at UW. He’s fired, but he’s not. He’s gone but he’s here.

I can’t rejoice as long as he is on that sideline embarrssing the once proud program he has destroyed.

Into the Abyss We Go

Sunday, October 26th, 2008

The Washington Husky Football Program is plumbing for new depths of hell as they subject their fast dwindling fan base to humiliation after humiliation with no end in sight other than rumors and speculation to distract us from a reality as ugly as we have seen here in 40 years.

I was 13 years old when the 1969 Huskies set the standard for futility that is being threatened by the 2008 version of our Purple Warriors. The 69 team had the excuse of being torn apart by the racial upheaval of the day as Jim Owens was dragged kicking and screaming into the modern era of the Black Athlete and two platoon football.

The 2008 version is a case of self inflicted death by Presidential Neglect. Mark Fucking Emmert and his grain of sand sized balls required Ty to completely destroy the program before our naked emperor will deign to rebuild it.

Enough already. Ty has fired himself 40 times over. You can get rid of him now, Captain Coward. Right now. We’ve suffered enough, the players have suffered enough and the program has been thoroughly humiliated time and again on national television.

Meanwhile, in Real Football land:

The Arizona Wildcats did a good impersonation of a team willing to go toe to toe with the highly paid Trojan squad. It was an entertaining nightcap as both squads featured hard hitting defenses and good play. If Wrong Stoops can close out the year with a bowl he may get that new contract. Cal ran all over the Bruins to keep their hopes of a first Rose Bowl in 50 years alive. The ASU Devils got run by some mid major spread team.

The Alabama Crimson Tide continues to roll over the opposition as they smoked Tennessee in front of a fast emptying Volunteer home crowd. Phil Fullmer may be the best just fired coach for us to choose from if form holds at Montlake. Georgia crushed LSU eliminating the defending champs from the title picture. Next up is some cocktails and tennis with the hungry Gators of Florida. Rich Brooks is who he has always been – a bad coach who gets killed playing good teams. 63-5 over Todd Turner’s vision for Husky Football.

Missouri is the Oregon of the Big 12. Back against inferior opposition, the Spread ran it up again, 58-0 over Dan Hawkins and Colorado. I  blame Neuheisel. Texas held off a very good Oklahoma State team. Lost in the classic rant from Mike Gundy is the fact that he’s built a damn fine team in Stillwater. Next up for the Horns are the gimmicky Texas Tech Raiders, who look like they may be more than that this year. We’ll find out in prime time this week.

Penn State beat Ohio State to give an anxious nation the specter of yet another Big 10 team in the national championship game. Haven’t we suffered enough? Let’s hope the SEC and the Big XII can each get an unbeaten through. Alabama v. Texas sound any good?

All accross this land full stadiums were rocking to man’s greatest sport. We got DeathWatch08 at it’s nadir of despair and destruction. Is there any other answer than to fire Ty today and sign up Mora tomorrow?

It’s STILL your fucking move, Mr. Football President.

Thoughts from the bottom of the bottle – II

Sunday, October 19th, 2008

The wire is rumbling this morning with news of secret meetings, private conversations and JIm L Mora. Buyouts and resignations and firings galore. The heat must be on high at the Presidential Palace at Montlake. The guerillas are in the suburbs now, fighting their way to the city and the elite are nervous and fearful for their heads. Is this another Emmert misdirection to stem the Mora tide? Or is it real. Our pipeline is open as always and it’s up to you, our moles inside the palace, to keep us informed. Stay tuned.

The lackeys who supported the soon to be deposed dictator are busy rewriting their resumes. As it turns out, nobody ever supported Ty for anything at anytime. The local lap dog media can’t write enough scornful articles about the Dear Leader. Will this keep them out of the re education camps? Will the podcast go all Pol Pot on their lying asses or will we be the bigger men and call for unity? Yeah, right. These two faced basterds continue to fire on our position with their smarmy ways and calls for Pat Hill and other mediocrities while insulting those of us who have fought in the mountains for six long years against everything these fools have supported. The streets will run with metaphorical blood afterall. We don’t want to do it, we feel we owe it to them. Don’t miss this weeks podcast as we burn it all down.

Jim L. Mora in play? There is a secret place where there is a secret message that says just that.

Where are the “let’s hire Rick Neuheisel” threads? There is a reason I subscribe to every known college football package known to mankind. I tuned into Fox Sports Pacific in time to see the Stanford Cardinal, (or is it Indians or is it the Tree?) score with just over a minute left to take a four point lead over the beleaguered Bruin squad. I knew UCLA would drive 95 yards for the winning TD. I just knew. And they just did. No, we don’t really want Rick back, but he has done more with that scrub QB in 7 games than anybody here has done with Stanback or Locker in years. Watch RickBall steal a bowl game this year.

Arizona and the Wrong Stoops may have won the roll of the dice by keeping him. They slapped around the Bears of Cal and now await the USC Trojans at whatever the fuck the name of their pissant stadium is. Memo to Jeff Tedford – why the fuck do you keep playing Nate Longshore? Your reputation is hanging by a thread here.

USC 69, WSU 0. It’s official, WSU is the first team to ever get 60 hung on them 4 times in one year. One of the truly great seasons in all time Cougar history and we have all but ignored it. I blame Emmert. How can we mock our retarded country cuzzins when they are going to win the Apple Cup and ensure our 0-12 record? The highlight of the WSU season is that in their only win over a girls intramural team, they lost two QBs to injury. UW will be on frat row next looking for QBS when our fat load of shit offensive line gets Fouch killed one of these days.

Oh, and by the way, Fouch isn’t better than Locker. Fouch is a good QB with a bright future, but Locker isn’t our problem and if we got rid of the brain dead coaching staff and helped old Jake out, you’d see it for yourself.

Glimmers of hope among the ashes of another Beaver beat down. Some of the pups look like they can help Mora get this turned around.

What do you say about Mizzou? What you always say. No defense and no shot against the big boys and the rinky dink spread gets worked by a physical defensive front and a speedy back end. Pinkel defenders say he can’t recruit against Texas and OU. Well after 8 years there, why not? That was a 5 TD beat down that wasn’t even that close. We need a coach than can recruit against the big boys and put a team out there that can hold its own.

Notre Dame comes to down for a prime time ESPN2 HD beat down. But wait, Domer fans, Ty just completed his annual 6 game losing streak. He’s 3-0 in game 7 in his career here. What will the ESPN spin be? I suspect that both Notre Dame and UW will get grilled to protect the Tyrone. Notre Dame still shouldn’t have fired him and UW is a cesspool of college football that Bear Bryant couldn’t win at and poor old Ty just bravely soldiers on.

Is there a dumber man in America than Kelly Stouffer? Or did he just give Emmert’s December speech when Ty gets year 5? The Typology remains strong out there, but the rumors run deeper. Will UW spare Ty his epic and well deserved Notre Dame beat down and will Ty take the rope and get out of town? Will UW really try to get us Mora? Will the streets really run with the blood of the Dawgman infidels?

DeathWatch08 takes a rare interesting turn. Be there, aloha.

Notes from Nuremburg

Saturday, October 18th, 2008

What were the lessons of Nuremburg? … following orders would not save your ass. It made no difference whether you retroactively disagreed with what was going on. All that mattered were your actions when the tragedies occurred.

No one is safe. We will hunt you down (metaphorically you literalists).

There is going to be an accounting.

My apologies to Godwin.

Thoughts from the bottom of the bottle

Sunday, October 12th, 2008

Dave Christensen is not the answer. Nor is Chip Kelley or any of the other Spread savants. Precisely because there are so many of them. Everyone runs the Spread. Everyone but Tim Lappanno runs it well. Lappanno must be the dumbest offensive coordinator in America.

At crunch time Mizzou fell apart and even with Chase Daniels completing 27 of 31 passes in the 2nd half, Mizzou lost under three interceptions and due to  an inability to cash in. The weakness of the Spread.

Mike Gundy, a man who is 41 and wants to puke, punked Gary Pinkel who is also not the answer. Mizzou will give him to us if we’re not careful. Okie State was the better coached team last night.

The Eyes of Texas saw that if you stop the run and make Sam Bradford beat you, eventually Chokelahoma will show up and give it away. Another spead gone bad. And Mrs. iDawg celebrates. Texas ran it when it mattered and showed that they aren’t the quitters that they were once thought to be. A college football classic and the game of the day.

Just because Will Muschamp foams at the mouth and bleeds from his head doesn’t make him a great head coach. He’s a defensive coordianator and right now that’s all we know about him. Was Lambo a great head coach?

We need to make an intelligent assesment  of whether a coordinator can be the head man with all that entails, not fall in love with the latest spead jockey or spittle covered defensive coordinator. Too bad we have the Blunder Twins making the call. Emmert was dumb enough to think Ty was a great hire and Woodward is a Louisiana political hack in a scarf.

Florida wiped the smirk off of Les Miles’ LSU face with an old fashioned SEC beatdown. So far the big games in the SEC have been as competitive as a WSU game.

Has any team ever had 60 hung on them three times in one season? With more to come perhaps? That’s just going to make our Apple Cup loss even more embarassing. Yes, our boys will admit afterwards that they were overconfident. The Cougs will play like the Viet Cong and we’ll play the role of the bloated Pentagon General.

Oregon sucks. UCLA could have won that game, and UCLA really sucks. But they are improving just in time to clown stomp UW in a few weeks. Notre Dame is also improving and Oregon State is rolling. The Good Bye Ty tour may see our own run of 60 point beat downs.

We need more bye weeks. College football really is man’s greatest sport, the one Tyism that holds true and it was great to watch game after game of real football at packed stadiums with great players who were developed and knew where the weight room was this summer.

If we haven’t said it lately, let me say it again – Fuck You Emmert for DeathWatch08 and this shithole of a season you gave us. And now we get pounded by the Beaver.

Mora. Mora. Mora. If you don’t know why then educate your dumb self and find out.

Is Emmert still the problem?

Friday, October 10th, 2008

Our inside source reports on the meet with Emmert and Woodward by the big wallets. The more things don’t change, the more they stay the same, it appears.

The big swingers let it be known that the money is there right now to pay out the contract if ty resigns.  {>>>>} left for a trip to {>>>>>}.  Woodert last year seemed to get offended whenever money was offered with firing strings, and it appears that is the case again.  I haven’t really heard since {>>>>} is gone now, but he was going to let on that his offer has an expiration date, and thus far it doesn’t seem like the dynamic scarf duo is in the mood to be forced to do anything.

I am getting less positive as the days go by.  I hope they have something up their sleeves, but I fear what it is.
