Have a Private Conversation with Dr. Emmert...

then pop off!

Highlights from the Emmert Lemon Party:

The economy really really sucks and Olympia has really cut our budget. Like worse than any other major college in the country. Not even as much as Michigan where like 2 people have jobs.

Despite all of that, UW rocks and we're ranked really high in lots of academic things. And we are getting more and more out of state applicants and it is going to be the hardest freshman class to get in, ever.

I care about athletics, especially football and basketball, because that is how universities are judged around the country by most people.

Sark did a great job in hiring an independent consultant to give Jake an honest evaluation of his draft status and potential and we couldn't be more thrilled that he is back! Oh and his girlfriend helped too.

(Even Emmert thinks Jake is pussy whipped. That's the kind of QB we need to lead us to the Rose Bowl!)

I axed how the stadium renovation would be funded given that it has failed twice. Emmert thinks the existing plan is the best one and makes the most sense and will try again. There are other options but those are extremely undesirable because of the debt they would saddle UW with. But he is open to them...

Privately, I told him that I witnessed 1 home loss as a student and saw two Holiday Bowls and a Rose Bowl and that is what I expect from the football team. He said we'd get back there, now that "we have the right people in place." I did not ask him why it took so long to realize that Tyrone was "not the right person in place." I told him how important winning football is to the entire UW experience and he responded with "We'll get to a bowl game this year."

That fucker is such a politician. He can talk to anything with all kinds of facts and figures and arguments right off the cuff.

Since I can't afford to feed my daughter while being incarcerated, especially in this economy, I did not kick him in the nuts.

Sorry for going Tequilla on you faggots.

I call bullshit. Everyone would have pitched with the coin necessary for the pleasure of knowing a HHB caused Emmert half the physical pain we went through emotionally for 7 fucking years.

Glad to hear we're fucking over in-state students at the expense of higher tuition out of state students. Awesome!

By out of state, he means all the fucking people that can't speak any fucking English and come over from India, China, etc., which is about 90% of the UW campus these days. It would fucking suck to go to UW right now - there's minimal hot tail if you like white girls. Better be in a fraternity or you get to live out your college life shagging meek's slags.

Dr. Faggot wants this to get worse... he wants to make UW more of a "global" University, and compared to peer universities we are lagging there supposedly. Which is why there is a Rome office and a Bejing office for Meek and they just opened something in León, Spain, I thought he said. (Something about being able to lease the building for just the utilities expense for several years so it was too good to pass up). Also wants to see the amount of students who study abroad increase.

You know that's weird, I actually didn't see any facts and statistics from Emmert as per your private conversation. It's funny, you know, 'cuz most statistics and facts say that he can't manage a fucking football program.

Oh well UW is the #1 public research institution and we have 26000 applicants this year for 5000 freshman slots and 54% of the applicants are from out of state and there were 92 faculty in the state honored for something and 80 of them were UW professors and we determined that the marching band was the cause of 95% of the cancellations for football season tickets...

shit like that
I like to go for STRIKE 4!

I also posted about the comparison to Michigan on doogtales several months ago as an example of how pathetic Emmert is in his non football president role.

Nice to see that the motherfucker agrees with me.

And you will be banned for not nut kicking that faggot. We would have pinned on a light skinned negro who is 6-1 and 250 pounds

He spins it as "look how great UW is despite all the shit I have to overcome, with Olympia cutting a third of our budget in 2 years and probably cutting it more into the future. We're the #1 public research university and we take 300 million (some number in the millions) from Olympia and pump out 4 billion (some number in the billions) of economic activty for the state"

He has all these great arguments about why UW is so important to the state (#1 employer in Seattle, #2 in KingCo, #3 in the state IIRC) but then bitches about how his state government gives him less $$$ per student than Berkley, UCLA, Michigan, etc.
Re: Have a Private Conversation with Dr. Emmert...

Oh and regarding the renovation plan, he presented this as his argument (and bear in mind that I don't give much of a fuck about WA since I don't live there so what I know about this issue pretty much comes from this message bored)

-The tax is a King County tax and will complete its funding requirements in 2020 (For Quest).
-We want the state legislature to give King County the ability to decide what to do with the revenue stream since it comes from King county. That is what we are asking for.
-If we get that, then we will push for it to be used to fund the renovation project. As it is a tourism tax on hotels and car rentals it should be used on projects that bring tourism to King county. Like college football. Because fans travel for college football. They don't for the NFL, at Qwest. (I need to send him my receipts for flying to watch the Redskins-Seahawks playoff game in person 2 years ago) The LSU game produced 30 million in economic activity for the area, because football fans turn it into a vacation, they take cruises and stay in the region for a week. And this fall when Nebraska comes to town Seattle will turn into a sea of red. (Oh that's great) So we think that tax should be used for development that leads to economic activity related to tourism.

(And this explains why we are dropping schools that might travel and replacing them with Portland St?)

All of this came after he explained how great the reconstruction would be (drop the field, get rid of the track, improve sight lines) and how shitty the stadium is (90 years old, entire lower bowl is not ADA compliant, how some ramp collapsed in the spring).

One last thing that I just remembered: Emmert made a crack at Neuheisel, saying something like "When we're recruiting professors and its between us and UCLA, I just say "Hey look who their football coach is""
